Pintora, nascida no Porto, vive e trabalha actualmente em Oeiras.

Frequência do Curso de Desenho e Pintura (IADE) com   Lima de Freitas e Martim Lapa. (1980). Aperfeiçoamento nos estúdios dos mestres Manuela Pinheiro,  Luís Guimarães e Patrícia Tavera. Frequentou o Curso de Gravura de João Cochofel, Galeria Diferença. Artista residente na OD-Cascais.

Participa regularmente em diversas Exposições, individuais e colectivas .Tem também executado encomendas de retratos , em diversas técnicas , (óleo, aguarela, e sanguíneas/pastel de óleo), tanto para privados como para clientes institucionais ( Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa). Os seus trabalhos foram premiados, no âmbito de um Concurso do “Diário de Notícias”, com a Exposição da obra seleccionada na Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, em Lisboa.

Isabel Mourão tem sido desde há muitos anos sido responsável pela implementação de diversos workshops e exposições ,orientados para adultos e particularmente com as crianças em colaboração com Associações e Escolas do Ensino Oficial, nomeadamente em ATLs na Medrosa e Clube das Gaivotas –Bairro do Rosário-Cascais, e Associações, como a ArtOeiras e Oficina do Desenho. Tem também organizado a título particular um vasto número de workshops no seu estúdio em Oeiras, agora deslocado para a Reserva da Fabrica da Pólvora.

“Isabel Mourão apresenta uma obra tendencialmente em registo figurativo para o mundo da figuração onírica não-surrealista. Os seus trabalhos são produto do sonho alerta, real. O que está distorcido é o resultado, não a premissa. Isto e só isto já corresponderia a um caminho novo que a Isabel está a percorrer e a deixar-nos percorrer. Mas é mais do que isso: é o fruto da vontade da autora em nos dar – verdadeiramente oferecer – uma nova coragem para nos encontrarmos. Entre nós e com a Pintura.”
